Menominee, MI, February 18, 2009 – Enstrom Helicopter Corp. recently delivered it’s first 480B destined for Ukraine to Rotor Ukraine, LLC, Enstrom’s newest dealer in Europe. The aircraft will be used as both a sales demonstrator and for commercial purposes such as tours and photography. A delegation from Ukraine, incuding Rotor Ukraine Director Valerii Gromov, recently visited the factory for pilot and maintenance training. Rotor Ukraine will be fully equipped to offer sales and service for Enstrom piston and turbine helicopters throughout the Ukraine and other Eastern European countries.
“Ukraine is a very exciting market for us”, said Jerry Mullins, Enstrom President and CEO. “With a number of their existing Russian-built aircraft becoming unserviceable, or too expensive to operate, we are seeing a lot of interest in our turbine helicopters. The 480B is highly capable, but inexpensive and economical to operate. It really fits their needs well.” With nearly 70% of its helicopters going overseas, securing new dealerships like Rotor Ukraine has been a vital part of Enstrom’s recent growth. Having a demonstrator in the region will allow Enstrom to penetrate even further into the Eastern European markets.
