280FX Overview

Enstrom's 280FX is the latest in the popular series of Shark piston-powered helicopters. The Shark's striking and aerodynamic body styling have won it several design awards. Deliveries of Shark models now number over 300 aircraft. Often called the sports car of the piston-powered helicopter segment, the 280FX Shark offers excellent performance with an enviable safety record. The turbo-charged power plant provides excellent hot and high performance. A high inertia, fully articulated rotor system provides an unusually stable ride and exceptional autorotative capabilities. A standard throttle correlator and ample tail rotor authority make the 280FX an easy and pleasing helicopter to fly.
